We're pretty lucky to live in a part of the country that has a ton of nice beaches pretty close to our house, even some dedicated dog beaches. For most dogs it's heaven, but trips to the beach with Holly always go the same way. She will avoid the water, get overly excited at the opportunity to play with other off-leash dogs, play a game of "where should I poop?", avoid getting too close to us, get her feet a tiny bit wet, and then sulk. Sulk that her feet got wet, sulk that she got sand between her toes, and sulk that she has to endure us trying to clean her up with a beach towel. Most dogs love the beach, but Holly isn't like most dogs.
